Uniastrum allocates Rb 10 mn in targeted assistance to veterans of the Great Patriotic War

The Bank marks the country’s 65th Victory Day celebrations by providing practical help to GPW veterans all over Russia.

The money is to be made available on plastic cards issued by Uniastrum to GPW veterans whose names are on lists approved by the Prefectures of administrative districts in Moscow and regional representatives of the Veterans Association.

Uniastrum is also marking Victory Day this year by sponsoring a series of charity concerts given by celebrated violinist and honored artist of the Russian Federation Dmitri Kogan. On April 23 the musician kicked off a nationwide concert tour in the Column Hall of the House of Unions, Moscow, performing a program specially devised for the commemorative occasion that will be later reprised for GPW veterans in Saint-Petersburg, Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, and Samara.

“For some time now Uniastrum Bank has made a point of attending to the needs of the country’s war veterans, rendering them targeted assistance,” says Uniastrum President Gagik Zakaryan. This year our Community Board is focusing its charity programs on helping veterans. It’s a way of expressing our gratitude to the men and women who helped save our country and of acknowledging the heroism shown by all those who took part in the Great Patriotic War.”
