Uniastrum Bank sponsors benefit concerts featuring violinist Dmitri Kogan as part of 65th Victory Day celebrations

On April 23 celebrated violinist and honored artist of the Russian Federation Dmitri Kogan gave a charity concert in the Column Hall of the House of Unions, Moscow to mark 65 years since the end of the Great Patriotic War. The event, sponsored by Uniastrum Bank and the Foundation for International Humanitarian Aid and Cooperation, was the first of a series of benefit concerts to be held throughout Russia.

Dmitri Kogan played a new program designed especially for the Victory Day celebrations. At the April 23 concert, he extended his best wishes to WWII veterans. Also performing on this occasion were jazz saxophonist Igor Butman, virtuoso accordionist Petr Dranga, world famous musician and composer Djivan Gasparyan, conductor Timur Zangiev, the Moscow Camerata Chamber Orchestra, and artistic director and People’s Artist of Russia Igor Frolov.

The veterans also received sincere thanks and good wishes in speeches made by S.S. Zhurava, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma, V.I. Dolgi, Chairman of Moscow’s Union of Veterans, and Oleg Shvetsov, Acting Chairman of Uniastrum’s Management Board. At the end of the concert all veterans were presented with souvenirs and gifts from Uniastrum Bank and Seventh Continent retail chain. The guests of honor were WWII veterans, politicians, businesspersons, and leading representatives of the cultural and intellectual community.
