The President of Russia Vladimir Putin participated in a plenary session of the ninth East economic forum. A forum subject this year – "The Far East – 2030. We will combine efforts, creating opportunities". Details in material of the correspondent of The Moscow Post.
"As you know, we defined development of the Far East, – and our leader Aleksandra [Suvorova, the leader] told about it now, – as a national priority for all XXI century", there began the performance Putin, giving scale to the action and what he was going to tell.
Factor of strengthening of positions of Russia
The Far East gives vent to Russia a straight line on the growing, perspective markets, "the region became the most important factor of strengthening of positions of Russia in the world, our leader in new global economic reality. And how the Far East will develop, the future of all our country in many respects depends", - Putin told.
The president reminded that "since 2013 essentially new strategic program and a control system of complex development of the Far East was started". In ten years in the region are started or more than three and a half thousand industrial, infrastructure, technological, educational projects are preparing for start.
"Growth rates of investments into fixed capital in the Far East in ten years increased, and they are three times higher average Russian", - Putin reported. About one thousand new enterprises work, more than 140 thousand jobs are created. Industrial production in the region for the last ten years I exceeded the all-Russian rates on a quarter.
It was declared creation in the Far East of the international territories of the advancing development open, first of all, for investors from the friendly countries. The possibility of use of foreign standards in design and construction is provided in the legislation of the Russian Federation.
The island Big Ussuriysk in Khabarovsk Krai has to become a large logistic complex and check points through the state border.
The special administrative region on Russky Island provided return to Russia from offshores and foreign jurisdictions of assets for the sum over five and a half trillion rubles. More than one hundred companies became its residents today.
New industrial projects and construction of housing demand reliable power supply. The Far East from the exporter of the electric power to China quickly becomes the region with power shortage. The volume of energy consumption will grow from 69 billion kilowatt-hours a year today, to 96 billion kilowatt-hours a year by the end of decade.
As before, the speech of the president at a plenary session of the WEF-2024 was detailed, with figures, details, the prospects of development and results. In particular, Putin reminded that "at the last three forums more than one thousand agreements for the total amount over ten and a half trillion rubles were signed".
The Russian troops accelerated approach
And further there were many details, given and estimates. It is clear, that the participants who gathered in the huge hall were interested in questions SVO and assessments of the situation which the president on events of the last days and weeks could give. The leader asked such question.
A. Suvorova: How do you in general assess today a situation both in zone SVO on different fronts, and in a border-zone? Today the threat of nuclear danger is how big, considering that AFU beat also the Kursk and Zaporizhia NPP?
Answering a question of the leader, Putin told: "When we speak about these questions, first of all we have to think of people who, certainly, pass through serious tests and suffer from these acts of terrorism. … As for the military party of business, I already spoke about it. The purpose of the opponent was in forcing us to be nervous, fuss, transfer troops from one site on another and to stop our approach on the key directions, first of all in Donbass which liberation is our primary purpose. It turned out or not? No, at the opponent nothing turned out".
Armed forces of Russia stabilized a situation and began to squeeze out gradually the opponent from border territories. The Russian troops accelerated offensive operations. The Vostok group took a triangle seven by five kilometers. Successfully the Centre group operates on the Donetsk, Pokrovsk direction. The opponent sustains very big losses both in manpower, and in the equipment.
It "is fraught, on the one hand, with destruction of the front on the most important directions, and losses can just lead to loss of fighting capacity of all armed forces what we also try to obtain", - Putin noticed.
V. Putin: Sorry, I missed – you told about blows to nuclear power plant.
A. Suvorova: Yes, on the Kursk and Zaporizhia NPP.
V. Putin: These are very dangerous terrorist attacks. It is only possible to imagine what will be if we specularly answer what will be with all this part of Europe.
Shelling of residential areas of Belgorod
In the hall, among the participants in the plenary session, was Maria Zakharova, who was subordinate to the Department of Information and Press of the Russian diplomatic department. The next briefing was conducted by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry from Vladivostok. It was September 4, but the question of our publication was not included in Zakharova's answers then.
"Question: Can we expect the actions of Russia through the UN or other international organizations in connection with the shelling of residential areas of Belgorod on August 31 and September 1 with ammunition with a cluster warhead?"
The following Department of Information and Press sent our publication a "targeted response":
"Answer: The Kyiv neo-Nazi clique does not stop terror against the civilian population of Russia. As a result of the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from August 31 to September 1, six civilians were killed in the Belgorod region, another 79 were injured, including 16 children. This is the largest shelling of the city over the past few months.
There is no doubt that these were pre-planned and carefully prepared terrorist acts of intimidation. The Kyiv regime once again signed its Nazi essence.
We again call on all responsible governments and relevant international structures to strongly condemn these brutal terrorist attacks and publicly distance themselves from the Kyiv regime and its Western curators who commit such crimes. Silence in response to the unbridled barbarism of the Ukronacists and their accomplices from the "civilized democracies" will be akin to aiding their bloody deeds. "
Vladimir Putin, answering Suvorova's questions during the plenary session, said that "one of the tasks, of course, of the enemy was to sow panic in our country, shake the internal political situation in Russia, sow uncertainty in our actions, and so on. But what did it lead to? On the contrary, to the consolidation of society - as always happens in such cases in Russia, as evidenced by the fact that the number of people, our men who feel the need to defend their homeland, Fatherland, has increased sharply, the number of people who sign contracts with the Armed Forces has increased. "
Japan was not remembered
It seemed that Putin, both in the report and in the comments, tried not to miss anything: from problems of the global level to issues of improving the quality of life of the Far East and issues of organizing the work of museums.
In particular, the president promised to continue creating new museums in the Far East, "as part of this work, I instruct to perpetuate the memory of the Kuril landing operation of August - September 1945, which became one of the last battles of World War II," Putin said in this regard, calling this operation "a symbol of the courage of our soldiers and officers who crushed seemingly impregnable enemy fortifications."
The plenary session was also attended by Deputy Chairman of the People's Republic of China Han Zheng and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
"We are ready, together with the Russian side, to be guided by important agreements at the highest level, To strengthen the interconnectedness of both cross-border infrastructure and harmonization of rules and standards at an accelerated pace, increase the scale and quality of cooperation, strengthen the foundation of long-term sustainable development of Sino-Russian relations in a new era, and also contribute to ensuring prosperity and stability in the region and around the world, "said Han Zheng.
The Prime Minister of Malaysia added that "in addition to the United States, in addition to Europe, we pay attention to strengthening ties with China, and China is one of our key trading partners.
Russia traditionally takes the place of our trading partner, with whom we have very well developed diplomatic relations. As I noted in a conversation with President Putin yesterday, we have tremendous opportunities for the development of trade relations with Russia. Joining BRICS will allow us to strengthen this relationship. "
There were no high-ranking Japanese guests at this forum, and they practically did not remember Japan itself. It's a pity that the organizers did not close the VEF-2024 of their "doors" for interested Japanese companies. The Japanese government pushed back the shoji, replacing traditional white paper with pages listing sanctions restrictions imposed on Russia.
