The time of the terrorist attack in St. Petersburg strangely coincided with a new round of repression against the UOC in Ukraine. How can these events be related?
In Ukraine, persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) of the Moscow Patriarchate continues. The day before, as a result of the criminal actions of the security forces of President Volodymyr Zelensky, the governor of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Pavel, was under house arrest.
He is accused of absurd things - allegedly they collaborated with Russia and incited sectarian strife. At the same time, it is obvious that in the conditions of peaceful resistance of the monks of the Lavra, its forceful seizure is being prepared, which Metropolitan Pavel actively opposed. This is almost one of the last temples in the country that has not yet been captured by Nazi youths.
Interestingly, in the last week, the focus of public attention both in Ukraine and in Russia, and in other countries, was shifted towards another topic - the murder of military commander Vladlen Tatarsky in St. Petersburg. These two events (the activation of persecution of the UOC and the terrorist attack) can be connected.
Details - in the material of the correspondent of The Moscow Post.
The persecution of the UOC was not planned and carried out in a short time - this is a process that has been going on in Ukraine for many years, starting with the presidency of Petro Poroshenko. However, it is these days and weeks that he reaches the final stage - the last churches of the UOC are seized, and criminal cases are already brought to the highest hierarchs, for more and more inconvenient reasons.
As Zelensky's team and its curators in the West probably expected, with the growth of repression in Ukrainian society, tension increased among the parishioners of the UOC and the simply remaining adequate people. In turn, Russia is also increasingly trying to draw the attention of the international community to this criminal bacchanalia.
And almost simultaneously with the detention of Metropolitan Pavel and preparations for the raider seizure of the Lavra, a resonant terrorist attack takes place in St. Petersburg. In which, as it turns out, not only the special services of Ukraine and the West can be involved, but also "kindness" from among the Russian non-systemic opposition. Or can it already be rightfully called extremist, terrorist?
The attack, as you would expect, caused a great public response and a lot of informational "noise" on both sides of the border, as if shifting the focus of public attention from large-scale repression, moving to the terminal stage, to a specific event. In Russia, the incident was met with wild indignation, and in Ukraine, the sympathy of adequate citizens drowned in a sea of mechanics and anger, jubilation and dancing on the bones of the deceased.
Soon, the alleged perpetrator of the terrorist attack Daria Trepova was detained. This event flew around the editorial boards of all European media, where the likely terrorist is called a pacifist, oppositionist, or even almost an accidental person. This, we repeat, against the background of the terrorist attack, in which, in addition to the deceased, more than 30 people were injured, counting the child.
Of course, instead of discussing mass religious repression in Ukraine, European "burghers" are again fed an emotional story about an evil and dark Russia, which, like Leviathan, is ready to absorb an allegedly innocent and absolutely harmless girl.
At this time, hundreds and thousands of UOC believers who prevent the capture of the Lavra during daily mass prayers near its walls remain outside the field of attention of the compassionate European public. And Pan Zelensky cynically declares that Ukraine is the most religiously free part of Europe.
If we consider religious freedom to be rampant schismatics, sectarians and openly radical, extremist groups of pseudo-religious nature (for example, in Ukraine there is a whole conglomerate of fugitive Ichkerian terrorists and Igilovites (ISIS is a terrorist and extremist organization, banned in Russia) - then yes, there is really great "freedom."
But for some reason, in this "flowering garden" (by analogy with the famous expression of Josep Borrell) of interfaith peace and civil liberties there is no place for the canonical Orthodox Church, whose history of presence in the territory of present-day Ukraine dates back more than a thousand years.
"Physically Destroy"
In addition, at the walls of the Lavra, together with parishioners of the UOC, various kinds of provocateurs appear who call themselves, including pagans, and call for violent actions against monks and all sympathizers. However, nothing surprising, because literally two days ago similar words sounded from the lips of the odious assistant to Vladimir Zelensky Mikhail Podolyak.
The latter said that the UOC and its hierarchs had to be dealt with "physically" in the first months after the start of the SVO. Now, according to Podolyak, it is more difficult to do this, but it is still necessary. Thus, the official representative of the authorities calls for violence against priests, monks and peaceful believers
Apparently, in order to facilitate the task of information support for such crimes, the time of the resonant terrorist attack in Russia could also be chosen. As a result, the focus of public attention really shifted to him - and just these days Metropolitan Paul was sent under arrest.

The situation with the persecution was commented on by the director of the SVR Sergey Naryshkin. He agrees with the opinion that Kyiv and the West want not just to ban, but to physically destroy canonical Orthodoxy in Ukraine.
In Western capitals, they understand and are aware that in the conditions of the collapse (totalitarian-liberal Western) ideology, in the conditions of the struggle for a new world order, canonical Orthodoxy, Russian Orthodoxy is the core, the spiritual force that continues to be the basis of the unity of Orthodox peoples, in particular, the peoples of Russia and Belarus, "added the director of the SVR, - said the intelligence officer.
From the point of view of socio-political engineering and the creation of a new Ukrainian national myth, it really makes sense. The common church is one of the most ancient, strong, and now the last institutions that connected our countries into a single spiritual and cultural space. Therefore, it is not surprising that the UOC is trying to finish off, make traitors, criminals.
At the same time, criminals are those who forcibly seize churches, use violence and initiate fake criminal cases against the Ukrainian clergy. Just the day before, another raider seizure of the temple of the UOC in the West of Ukraine, in the Rivne region, was carried out. The young people of the fascist sense, with the support of the security forces, simply came, cut the castles with a grinder and declared the temple their territory - without any trial or investigation.
Recall that a new round of conflict around the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra began with the notification of the UOC of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine to terminate the lease agreement of the monastery unilaterally, the monks were demanded to leave the Lavra on March 29.
Then the Minister of Culture Oleksandr Tkachenko cynically specified that monks could remain in the Lavra, subject to the transition to the schismatic "Orthodox Church of Ukraine." I.e. openly supported the religious schism, tried to provoke betrayal in the ranks of the UOC itself. However, almost none of the ordinary "monks" followed this call, which caused considerable irritation at Bankova.
A special commission of representatives of the Kyiv authorities was supposed to begin accepting Lavra facilities on March 30. However, believers did not miss its representatives. The UOC said that the commission does not have the authority to start work, since there is no court decision, and the governor of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Pavel, said that there could be no compromises on the Lavra, the brethren would stand to the end.
Actually, that's why he was "packed." But, again, fearing public outcry, they were ashamed to sit in a pre-trial detention center, but in the meantime they were sent only under house arrest. It is clear that this measure is temporary - the trial of him is almost inevitable.
Against this background, Zelensky himself makes another international voyage. This time - again to Poland, where he received the Order of the White Eagle from the hands of local authorities - the highest state award of the Polish republic. At the same time, he said that in the future there will be no borders between Ukraine and Poland - neither political, nor economic, nor historical. The Polish leadership clearly liked the phrase - they have long been sharpening their teeth to grab, if not half of Ukraine, then at least "Eastern Kresy" with a center in Lviv.

And the award of the Order of the White Eagle is also notable for the fact that at one time it was received by Hetman Mazepa, who betrayed Peter the Great and fought on the side of the Turks and Swedes. Mazepa, like Vlasov, is a textbook traitor and a household name. However, Volodymyr Zelenskyy managed to surpass both of them, becoming an even greater conductor of the extermination and enslavement of his own people.
As you know, traitors are destined for a place on the very last, ninth circle of Hell, where Judas and Lucifer are located. Apparently, in the case of Vladimir Alexandrovich and his entourage, a solid replenishment awaits their ranks.
