These days, the hottest topic on the Russian and international agenda is the historic visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the DPRK. As a result, the parties have already signed a document on comprehensive cooperation - it is strategic in nature.
As the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova explained, this visit caused a sharp reaction in the West.
"Everything that Russia does in space, as we used to call it and will call it, the Asia-Pacific region, and the United States now calls it the Indo-Pacific space... will be hysterical in Washington, London and NATO in general, "she said.
As usual, The Moscow Post also had the opportunity to get answers to questions of interest. This time, our correspondent was interested in the international reaction to the past weekend of the so-called. "Peace Summit" in Switzerland.
The summit was initially doomed to failure, since Russia did not participate in it, but found itself in an even more losing and even curious position. After the signing of the final communiqué, several countries withdrew their signatures. At the same time, out of about 80 declared states, the level of most representation was extremely low - up to the Deputy Foreign Minister. The leaders of China, India and even the main curator of the Kyiv regime, the United States, did not come.
Representatives of Iraq, Jordan and Rwanda withdrew their signatures under the declarative document. Was this the result of Russian diplomacy, or are the current methods of pressure on members of the international community by the United States and its allies themselves no longer so effective?
In response, Maria Zakharova once again recalled that the final communiqué with an anti-Russian character, signed at the so-called. "peace summit," not all even those delegations who came to the event agreed to support. At first, 12 delegations refused, then their number increased to 14. Among them are such large countries as India, South Africa, Thailand and others. The Russian Foreign Ministry does not exclude that the number of such countries may still grow.
"It became clear that the world majority does not accept this project as a conflict resolution project. They see the true desire of Westerners to push through the agenda precisely aimed not at peace, but at the continuation of the conflict. They do not want to follow this dangerous ideology, this dangerous course, "the diplomat explained.
Continuing the theme of the summit, the Foreign Ministry spokesman drew attention to the fact that the Europeans created a "special commission" to investigate the theft of aid allocated to the Kyiv regime. The corruption component in this matter should not surprise anyone. The fact that significant amounts of aid are being plundered is an open secret.
At the same time, this state of affairs is supported by the patrons of the Kyiv regime themselves.
"In Ukraine, banditry, which has grown into terrorism. Absolute permissiveness breeds extremism, there is no other way. This is science, knowledge, supported by practice and theory, "said Zakharov.
She also commented on the "security agreements" concluded between Ukraine and its Western patrons recently, including during the summit in Switzerland. According to Maria Zakharova, these are only "chimeras" with zero legal significance.
"On the sidelines of the G7 summit, Kyiv signed a so-called security guarantee agreement with Washington and Tokyo. There are already more than a dozen of them in the piggy bank of [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky, but none is an international treaty. Absolute chimera, "concluded Maria Zakharova.
