Polish associates of Uncle Sam hid data on the explosion of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.
The American press erupted with an amazing revelation: it turns out that the Polish government was hiding the data necessary to investigate the largest infrastructure sabotage of the 21st century, namely the undermining of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.
It seems that the representatives of Warsaw are not at all embarrassed that the result of this, in fact, terrorist act was an imbalance of the entire European energy market and a huge damage to the economy, in particular, Germany - one of Poland's closest allies in the EU and NATO.
Details - in the material of the correspondent of The Moscow Post.
As the employees of The Wall Street Journal found out, Polish government agencies and departments in every possible way avoid cooperation with the international investigation, and also refuse to provide potentially critical evidence to investigate the case of explosions on the Nord Stream pipelines, carried out in the beginning of 2022.
In addition, Polish officials are too slow to provide the requested materials, and also refuse to give information about the movement of alleged suspects in involvement in sabotage in the country.
In other words, Poland covers likely criminals. For some reason, this news did not cause any excitement in European capitals. And she could hardly - the game of Poland is quite readable, everything rests on interests. And they are viewed at once.
After the explosions of the "Northern Flows" the most affected party in the EU was Germany. Today it is forced to buy gas at 30% more expensive than from Russia. At the same time, instead of Moscow, Washington became the main supplier of the same LNG. Earlier, the head of Eurodiplomatia, Josep Borrell, let slip: according to him, the EU is still dependent on suppliers, only this time connected not with the Russian, but with the American state.
This was the plan of those who staged this sabotage - to tie Europe to their own economic and political interests, to break ties with Moscow, plus to deprive the latter of profits from the premium European energy market. It will be very difficult to break back there, but Russia will not be allowed there corny. But the European halls of the administration of Joseph Biden can drink champagne - the "prank" was a success.
Assuming that the US and the UK were indeed behind the bombings, the actions of Poland, its key ally in the EU, look quite logical. Recall that one of the main versions that are discussed in European living rooms is the undermining by some Ukrainian saboteurs who could operate from the territory of Poland.
In November 2023, a number of Western publications issued a new portion of information - allegedly, former Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Chervinsky was involved in the explosions, who carried out the orders of the senior leadership subordinate to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. At the same time, the United States allegedly tried to dissuade Kyiv, and Volodymyr Zelenskyy seemed not to know about the plans of the military.
This version is, to put it mildly, implausible. It is impossible to believe that some Ukrainian military, not having received the go-ahead of Washington, or even acting against his will, went to sabotage. In fact, this is an attempt to "knock down" the trail and cool the worried German capitalists: many in Germany are outraged by the passive position of their country in conducting the investigation.
But these sabotages are a large-scale destruction of the European energy infrastructure. If it turns out that all this is the result of the actions of the main "defender" of Europe, i.e. the United States, then the scandal will be such that the cracks will go through the North Atlantic Alliance itself.
It is much more convenient to "shove" this on Ukrainian nationalists, who, they say, are very upset by the actions of Russia, and by virtue of this they can be understood and forgiven.
In addition, it is significant that the name of Zaluzhny appears in the new version. As you know, he has extremely tense relations with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. It is clear that this is an attempt to "highlight" Zaluzhny - it seems that the topic with the undermining of the "Northern Flows" is used as a factor in the internal political struggle in Kyiv.
"Now it looks more like domestic political Ukrainian or even when interacting with Western partners trying to find a formal culprit. There are many other related factors that make the search for this figure now convenient, "said Sergei Kondratyev, director of economic affairs at the Institute of Energy and Finance.
Meanwhile, such an operation could not do without intelligence and assistance from a number of countries. In particular, Norway.
Earlier, the famous American journalist, Pulitzer Prize winner Seymour Hersh told that it was the United States that was involved in the explosions. His article was called: "How America destroyed the Nord Stream gas pipeline." The text is made on the message of the source with direct knowledge of operational planning. The material indicates that the explosions were a secret operation of the United States.
Seymour Hersh said that in December 2021, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan convened a working group to respond to the "Russian threat." In early 2022, the journalist writes, CIA representatives reported to Mr. Sullivan that "there is a way to blow up the pipelines."
Earlier, Joe Biden himself said that their work would stop. Now in the EU, no one really doubts who is behind it. Earlier, "hints" of "Uncle Sam" were given by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Serbian President Alexander Vucic. Actually, many other European leaders probably know.
However, to open your mouth for them in conditions of almost complete dependence of energy and security on the United States means shooting yourself in the foot. After all, until the next term you can not sit - in the hands of Washington a complete toolkit for "color revolutions." And only in relatively independent countries, such as Serbia, this scenario can fail. Which we saw following last year's protests after the parliamentary elections in Belgrade.
Therefore, the question remains: how much more Europe (especially Germany) will shoot at its feet, serving other people's geopolitical interests? Sacrifice your economy, security, relations with the states of the global South? Only European voters can give an answer to it.
